DO YOU OFFER EXTENDED CARE?
We do not. Because the day is so action-packed and we don’t want campers to be too tired for the rest of the week, the camp will end promptly by 4:00pm. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PUNCTUALITY!

THAT’S A LONG DAY! WHAT IF MY KID NEEDS SOME TIME TO RELAX!?

It’d be an understatement to say that being champions at the beach for seven hours is tiring. During every set of activities, we offer at least one “R&R” option. This means that if your child wants to rest for a little bit they have the choice to pick A LESS STRENUOUS ACTIVITY like DRAWING OR SAND CASTLE CREATION. To avoid having campers drain themselves by being too active all day or miss out on fun by not being active enough, CHAMPCAMP! aims to find a balance between the two. To learn more, please visit the "Philosophy” section of our site.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE DO DROP OFF AND PICK UP TAKE PLACE?

For all locations, drop off takes place from 9:00 TO 9:30am. We stagger the time in order to avoid creating a big traffic back-up.

HALF DAY  pick up takes place from 12:30 TO 1:00 PM. We will bring your camper right up to the spot where they were dropped off in the morning. So, if you sign your champ up for half day, just pull up to drop off site and we'll have them ready to hop in the car!

FULL DAY Pick UP is from 3:30 TO 4:00 pm. Simply pull up to the same spot that you dropped off your camper in the morning and a CHAMPCAMP! staff member will be there ready to help your camper into the car. In an effort to show respect to our neighbors, PLEASE DO NOT PARK AND LEAVE YOUR CAR WHILE IT IS BLOCKING A DRIVEWAY!

Regarding the location-specific drop off and and pick up details, you will be emailed visual details in the weeks preceding your session(s).

MY CHILD CAN’T SWIM. CAN THEY STILL COME TO CHAMPCAMP!?
Yes! During the online registration process you will be asked whether or not your child can swim. On the first day of camp, we group all of those whose parents said they can swim and observe their water abilities. Based on our observations from that first day, we will determine which children are able to participate in certain water activities. Even if your child can’t swim, CHAMPCAMP! offers on-land and on-shore water activities, so everyone is able to join in on the fun!

Be sure to check out our SAFETY page for info on how we stay safe at all times!

WHAT IS YOUR SUMMER SCHEDULE?

Excitedly, CHAMPCAMP! now has three locations in the South Bay! We can be found partying in Playa del Rey, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo Beach. Check out our LOCATIONS page for the details on each spot's schedule!

HOW WILL MY CHILD BE GROUPED?
Here's the simple answer: However they want! CHAMPCAMP! Campers are given the ability to freely choose between games and activities. This means that siblings and/or buddies that sign up together are able to hang out with one another all day long, no matter their ages! Please refer to the “Philosophy” area of the site for more information regarding the importance of choice in childhood activity and why this makes CHAMPCAMP! so awesome.

No Worries! At CHAMPCAMP!, we are very aware of the fact that every champion is different. Accordingly, we make sure that there are always multiple activities going on at the same time, and those activities rotate throughout the day and week! If your child does not like a certain game or activity he or she is free to request to play something different! With the variety of activities throughout the week, there are multiple options for every champion!

What should my champ bring to champcamp!?

- Sunscreen (spray bottle & facestick) - It’s bright out there! While we do have mandatory sunscreen reapplication periods, PLEASE drop your camper off with a healthy dose of sunscreen already applied.

- Lunch and Snacks- With our jam-packed active schedule, campers need fuel to stay energized throughout the day! In order to avoid theft via the seagulls, please make sure the lunch container is sealable and labeled with your child's name!

- Towel- Whether it’s sweat or water, our campers are going to need to dry themselves off.

- Refillable Water Bottle- please send your child with their own water bottle, as they can refill it with our giant CHAMPCAMP! water jug
!

WHAT IS THE CHAMPCAMP! AGE RANGE?

WHILE CHAMPIONS COME IN ALL AGES, CHAMP CAMP'S AGE RANGE IS 4 to 12.

**CAMPERS MUST BE FULLY POTTY-TRAINED**

What should my champ wear to Champcamp!?

-Bathing Suit- Please encourage your child to come to camp wearing a bathing suit. Even for those campers that do not anticipate going in the water, it is still a good idea for them to be prepared, since you never know if they’ll change their mind once at camp. Also, for on-land water games, bathing suits dry much more quickly than regular clothing.

- Water Shoes or Flip Flops - The sand gets hot! For those beautiful hot summer days in Manhattan Beach, it’s a good idea for campers to have protection for their feet. Shoes or sandals are also important for trips to and from the nearby bathrooms.

- Hat and Sunglasses- We don’t want our campers’ non-stop fun to be hindered by the bright hot sun, so sending them in a hat and/or sunglasses will help to keep them comfortable all day long!
